Biography

In 1998, I was born in Mexico, a country I find naturally surreal. Surrealism needs art and creativity in order to keep existing. Since childhood, I have been surrounded by many forms of art, both intentional and unintentional — like the song played by the car that announces the bread delivery.

This is how imagination and play became my oldest friends. They have accompanied and guided me throughout my professional path as a filmmaker, musician, photographer, artistic director, and choreographer, as well as through my travels and personal explorations in Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Peru, France, and the United States.

Artistic approach

“I believe in the magic that comes with the experience of inhabiting a body.”

With this idea in mind, I set off toward the strange and deeply sensitive world of movement. Once inside it, almost by accident, movement — with its own tactics of persuasion — threw me into a reality where things were no longer as I had understood them. And understanding was no longer an activity of the mind. Thought was no longer made with the intellect, but with the body.

As I write these lines, remembering the world I come from has become almost impossible.
