Biography

Emma Riske (22) is developing her own style of self-expression through movement by sharing her discomfort with being perceived.

​

Growing up in Whitehorse, Yukon inspired a vulnerable sensuality in her because of its isolated nature and expansive silence. Emma nurtured this after moving to Montreal in 2021, where she branched out from classical techniques she had previously trained in and began pursuing freestyle-based dance practices.

​

An acute insomniac, Emma takes a lot of very long walks where she can sort through her mind.
