Artistic & Administrative Direction

BIG BANG is led by Stéphanie Decourteille and Stéphane Casta, united by a shared commitment to offering artists a rigorous, stimulating and supportive program that is attentive to their individual journeys, and where research, experimentation and meaningful encounters play an essential role.

Stéphanie Decourteille, founder and Artistic Director, shapes the artistic and pedagogical vision of the program. She teaches within BIG BANG and supports artists throughout their research, creative processes and the development of their artistic practice.

Stéphane Casta oversees the program’s administration, communications, partnerships and development. He also supports the implementation of projects and the preparation of grant applications.

​

Collaboration is at the heart of the program. With each edition, Stéphanie and Stéphane work alongside an artistic assistant and several guest artists who are invited to share their practice, perspectives and experience. Together, they continue to shape BIG BANG with the aim of sustaining a program that is open, accessible and conducive to each artist’s development and artistic growth.
